Today, I read an article about a woman with HIV who was raped. The man that attacked her is now HIV positive. All of the commentary surround this was about how she should have told him she was HIV+ and that women with HIV should have a badge or special underwear so that this doesn’t happen to another man. It is 12:12am and I am already done with the world.
That is rape culture
THIS POST WINS FOR THE MOST HORRIFYING THING I’VE READ ALL DAY
It’s kinda sad that many people are still not educated about HIV, people who are diagnosed with HIV+ will continue to live like a normal human being if they are treated at an early stage.
These people are not required to go around announcing to EVERYONE that they have HIV+ unless it’s to their partners. So all these she should have a badge shit is stupid, she didn’t agree to have sex with a rapist so how is it that she is REQUIRED to tell him about it?
First of all, the rapist should have never raped her. Second of all, are you telling me that before she is being raped she should say “Hold on hold on I have HIV!!!” At that moment she must be in shock and trauma to even speak a word and these ignorant fucks think she should announce to the rapist.
If he didn’t even respect her at the first place, I don’t see the need for people to even defend that rapist. Peace out.
When I was little, I ran up to my dad and told him excitedly, “Mom said I was a lesbian!”
He looked startled. “I don’t think she told you that,” he said slowly.
"Yes she did! She said I was a lesbian!"
"No, I’m pretty sure she didn’t…"
I started getting mad. “She did! She said I was good at acting!”
"…That’s a thespian. A thespian.”
But in the end I just grew up to be a lesbian.
The last sentence though lol
The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies.
